WHAT MY CAMERA ROLL SAYS ABOUT MY STYLE?

There are a lot of things to say in this piece. The first one? How do I call myself a fashion enthusiast when I mostly wear jeans and a t-shirt with different bags and shoes, because I don't even dare to rotate the jeans. I hyperfixate on one pair and didn't let them go throughout the whole year (they're from Zara and are the best pair I've ever purchased). Secondly, if you've been following me since I started this project, you'll surely recognize a lot of the pictures and outfits in here, as I decided to collect pieces from May last year until today and analyze, judge, and laugh about my sense of personal style.

The decision to mix them instead of following a chronological order made sense once I realized that my year has been extremely similar to the last, and the focus I've followed even clearer, which has been mentioned repeatedly in this blog: a good wardrobe starts with key pieces that make sense for your daily life. At least that's what I tell myself, but basically, if we were to be critical about what you see here, you mostly only need a rotation of white t-shirts, long sleeves, and tank tops to make it work.

But something did catch my eye: this was actually the very first year I've worn so many skirts, often choosing them over trousers. And the more I think about the pieces on my wishlist, it keeps leaning towards more and more skirts mostly midi skirts.

Could I actually take off my loafers? Could I make an effort and choose any other shoes, please? It seems like a desperate need. Accessories have been quite absent too, but that comes as a surprise to nobody as I've mentioned before, I'd rather wear minimal and intentional jewelry than go overboard with it. Bags, on the other hand, often play an interesting role in the construction of a look. Even when repeating them constantly, I rotate them quite a bit more than the Zara jeans, at least. I also feel very transparent, because the pieces I'm mostly recommending and saying you need are the ones I actually need myself.

This piece feels a little bitter to me, and honestly, I didn't expect that. These are all outfits I actually wore outside, and that's exactly why I feel a little disappointed, I could genuinely wear the ideas I put together here to go to work or spend an afternoon out, but I kept choosing to wear the exact same thing. I actually thought the outcome would be more interesting, but if anything, it gives me a small glimpse of what I should experiment with and when to stop playing it safe.

Nothing more to say than stay tuned. I have work to do.
