CHLOE'S FASHION INSIGHTS
Chloe is not only a close friend to me in Barcelona; she’s also a breath of hometown.
We met while working together at Brandy Melville, but we share the experience of coming from the same city and having to build a life as foreigners in another place.
Getting to know Chloe is not as easy as being her friend. At the beginning, I can guarantee she is not the friendliest, and you might even think she dislikes you (as I did when I met her), even though she swears to me it wasn’t like that. However, once we got to know each other more deeply and formed a bond beyond just working together, I discovered what an amazing person she is.
As a human being, she is kind and very attentive to details. She always cares about making you feel special, and she never fails at that—without a doubt. For me, our friendship is sisterhood. We think alike, we agree on most topics, we get each other, and most importantly, we support each other when needed. Chloe is very selective, her ideas are very clear, and her gut is never wrong. I have seen her grow as a woman over the past six years, and I completely admire her values and everything she has achieved during all these time.
But who is she?
Chloe is, by title, a space designer, but she is truly a creative and curious person. She likes and enjoys fashion and being surrounded by it at least as much as I do. She’s really into architecture, design, film, photography, and overall staying up to date with any news going around. Over the years, she has developed her personal style into what I would say is her prime.
When it comes to her style, it changes frequently. I have seen so many versions of Chloe regarding fashion and following trends, but one thing is clear: it is always ladylike, full of accessories, and always—al-wa-ys—put together. I think I have never seen her not looking beautiful and stylish.
A pair of jeans, ballet flats, boots, sometimes heels. T-shirts, special sweaters, and vests are the kinds of pieces Chloe wears the most. I don’t just appreciate her style and feel inspired by her—I also know that if I ask for her opinion, she won’t just be honest; she will truly understand what I mean. I can’t actually define her style with just one adjective, but if I had to, "stylish" would be the most appropriate word for it.
Traveling, discovering new cities, places to eat, things to buy. Enjoying art, looking beautiful while drinking a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Gossiping and making every single story great, creating suspense in everything you share.
Making people laugh, making people feel very special. Being a great friend, a sister. And being there when you are most needed.
Honesty, creativity, and sarcasm. Keep being the light in the room, because that’s what you do best. I miss living in the same city as you, and I really appreciate having you in my life.
I created this segment on other people's fashion insights as an ode to the different styles, people, and personalities I have around me—people I truly appreciate. I believe that valuing and sharing what you admire in others makes you wiser.
