THIS IS HOW I STYLED YELLOW PANTS

Over the past few months, I’ve realized I’m almost always reaching for either jeans or skirts (with a few exceptions, of course). So naturally, I felt like it was time to step a little outside my comfort zone or at least try something different, and that’s how I ended up thrifting these beautiful yellow trousers that somehow fit like a glove.

Disclaimer: there’s truly no feeling like finding something in a thrift store that just makes sense. Not only because it fits perfectly, but because it feels unexpectedly right, like it was exactly what you were looking for all along. And for 8€, I’m pretty sure they’ll more than pay for themselves.

When it comes to styling, I always come back to color. Especially with pieces that might feel a bit “tricky” at first, like these trousers. I’ve found that when the colors and fabrics work together, everything else just falls into place. There are “rules” you can follow like color theory, but honestly, it usually comes down to what feels right to you.

A full monochromatic yellow look might sound like a lot, but the simplicity of a basic tank top balances it out. Add a scarf to the head and finish with classic loafers, and it comes together in a way that feels effortless rather than overdone, perfect for a casual day of running errands.

For something a bit more elevated, swapping in wedge sandals and a black top instantly shifts the look. Or, for a more everyday setting, pairing the trousers with a red vest and boots makes it feel just right for work or a lunch plan.

For the longest time, I convinced myself that trousers couldn’t really feel casual or relaxed, but I was definitely wrong. Flip-flops and a big bag make them work perfectly for laid-back days, and a simple brown T-shirt with a belt bag and oversized sunnies is an easy go to when I have no idea what to wear.
